Corporate ProgramsStress Management Strategies This program can be designed as a short 90-minute session that gives an introduction to stress management principles with some stress management tools your employees can use to help deal with the negative effects of stress - or it can consist of six or more sessions that help participants free-up their energy to deal with challenges, be more creative, and avoid costly stress-related reactions in both their work and personal lives. The tools of didactic presentation, self-assessment, group process, relaxation exercises, gentle body movement, visualization, and breath are used to assist participants in understanding where they hold tension in their bodies and how to release that tension. Activities are devised so participants can make them a part of their daily routine and thus become more centered and responsive to themselves and others, along with the demands of work and home life. Corporate programs are presented by Massage Therapy & Wellness Center founders and co-owners Patsi Gately and Phyllis Baker. To set up an appointment to discuss on-site programs and what we can do to help you have a healthier, more productive workforce, please call us at 219-879-5722. |
Chair Massage An on-site chair massage program can help your employees perform their jobs more efficiently. Employee surveys administered for our business and industry clients indicate that this cost-effective and popular service relieves headaches, symptoms associated with carpal tunnel problems, and pain/tightness in the neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands. Employees also report that chair massage helps them focus, boosts energy and creativity, and helps alleviate their response to stress. In the convenience of your business, employees receive a seated 10 to 15 minute, fully-clothed session that treats head, neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands. No oils are used. Allow relaxing chair massage provided by professional massage therapists to bring new life to your employees. Energy Breaks Fifteen to 30 minute experiential sessions that incorporate stretching and gentle movement based on T'ai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, and other forms of movement that help facilitate balance, flexibility, coordination, and tension relief. These powerful sessions are performed with a sense of fun that allows the mind and body to relax and rejuvenate. Groups are better able to think creatively and clearly when stagnant energy is moved out, creating a sense of cohesion and vitality in the group. Movements are easily performed in work clothes; persons with physical limitations will be given activities they can perform so they can also receive the intended benefits. |
